With regards to visiting us: exact directions to our Cottages are sent out on receipt of full bookings and you can also check out our Google Map link below. There are many ways of getting to Skye. While the most obvious is with your own car, there are alternative options and with today’s problems of stressful driving and high private transport costs, combinations of systems may suit. For English, mainland Europe, US and other visitors it may work out cheaper and less stressful to fly or take a train to Inverness, Glasgow or Edinburgh and then take a hire car. The budget airlines Flybe.com and Easyjet.com fly to Inverness which is 3 hours away. Some visitors come to Skye by train (nearest station Kyle of Lochalsh) or bus and then hire a car on the island – all options can be catered for! The island’s integrated transport network can be researched by contacting traveline on 0871 200 22 33, or emailing public.transport@highland.gov.uk or when you get here, drop into a Tourist Information Office.
